A.D.D

Its 6am, the clouds roll in,
And you day has now begun.
Your thoughts will run, you’ve come undone
And you smoke more than anyone.
Its 1:02, Now what to do
So you light up one more time.
Your brain it spins, you start to cringe
You need a pill to tame your mind.
Its 10:15, you try to sleep
But you can only get so far.
You can’t describe, what it’s like inside
The shell you’re still trying to fill.

20 years

Your words cut through like glass,
Yet I’ve done nothing wrong.
The Sadness won’t dissipate,
No surprise I just don’t belong.
As confusion flows threw my mind,
And tears roll down my face.
You’re high upon your thrown
Cause you’ve put me in my place.

On the outside I intimidate,
With my blank expression and ink.
But deep within is a little boy,
Who cares what everyone thinks.
At night it all culminates,
As I pray the memories fade.
It’s finally midnight,
I’ve made it another day.
