I was born in Providence, Rhode Island and grew up in a small town called Somerset Massachusetts. After attending the University of Massachusetts for two years, I moved to San Diego California to attend San Diego State.
In the spring of 2009 myself and a group of close friends were playing hacky-sack on the front lawn of our SDSU Art street palace. Our dear friend Patrick Daly had recently passed away and we were discussing how we could do something special in memory of such a unique soul… Sack Magazine was born.
As founder of Sackmagazine.com I oversee all operations. I feel blessed to work with a team of such amazing people who truly are in it for the love of the music, and more importantly for the cause.

My name is Alexandra Tregre and I’m a current student at San Diego State University double-majoring in Journalism and Women’s Studies. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and headed out west for school; I’m currently working towards being a news reporter but I have a strong passion for music and the arts. My traveling and natural curiosity for the world and the people in it, in addition to other factors, have lead me to reach out to a variety of different people in hopes of telling their untold stories. I have a passion for writing, filming, editing, meeting new people and seeing new places and I incorporate those qualities into my work as a journalist for SackMagazine!

Kelly Rutherford has lived in the San Diego area for the past 13 years and is very involved in the local music and art scene. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2009 with a degree in Political Science. Her involvement with Sack Magazine includes musician/artist interviews, show reviews, and photography. SACK Magazine is the only online “magazine” of its kind. We will provide a method of bringing people together musically, artistically, poetically, and with the written word. Our aim is to help musicians, artists, poets, writers, photographers, filmakers,extreme athletes, and much more gain new exposure and recognition. This is both our and the readers’ chance to be a part of something special, something unique, and most importantly something that grew out of a simple game of Hacky-Sack among good friends.
