Arthur Allen

Fearless Daughter

She stand there, patiently like water
waiting for someone to dive in her mind
She’s been alone since sixteen
Davinci couldn’t paint a picture
of the pain her eyes continue to witness

She no longer seeks her fathers forgiveness
His hope for her died long ago
She uses and abuses anything she can
Gets abused and used by the man
With a dead president in his pocket

She sells her body for the night
It breaks another piece of her crumbling soul
She wonders the night like a moth
Not knowing what to do or where to go
She is searching for a light to write
A letter to her father

It says “Good bye im sorry”
For all the trouble i’ve put you through
Its not your fault I am the way i am
I try to be strong but im so weak
All i want is a hug and a kiss from you
I love you, where are you
I cant tell you where I am
I dont want to be found
Im lost
